Something tells me you should NOT put your ear next to fireworks to hear this sound:
Check out my second Fourth of July creation!
(you didn't miss my wreath did ya??)
(you didn't miss my wreath did ya??)
I had immediately pinned these guys:
from Poppies at Play a couple weeks ago and knew it was on my 'must do' list. (FYI: approximately 32 projects a day go on my 'must do' list and I actually complete about 1 every 6 months...anyone with me here?) I really really like the saying with the fireworks.. totally appropriate! And yes, it reminds me of Rice Krispy treats (huh? oh! ..I mean cereal) but who cares! (uhh.. actually I'll take one right now)
I had a piece of scrap wood I cut up (hack saw style.. hence the completely sloppy rustic ends) then just paint, vinyl lettering, and distressing. I hot glued the singed rope to the top to complete my vision.
Ready for blast off!
I am 100% convinced my neighbor who was mowing his lawn thinks I'm nuts after taking this photo.

ReplyDeleteHi. Love this idea. I'd love to make some for next summer but I'm not sure what size wood you used. Could you advise if they are 2x2 or 4x4? And also what type of paint did you use? Thanks so much!
DeleteWhere did you get the vinyl letters for these?
ReplyDeleteI saw this on a 4th of July roundup and just had to pin it. I hope you’ll share your best post of the week on my Friday Flash Blog Linky Party going on ALL weekend at The Jenny Evolution.
