christmas porch décor ideas

10 December 2015

Hello! Come on up to our front porch. It’s a fun place to decorate because it’s the welcome to the home and it really doesn’t need tending because people don’t eat or sleep or do homework out there. :)

This year, I took my wood panel door from Habitat for Humanity and painted it the same red I used for Logan’s chair downstairs -- Sherwin-Williams Fireweed. An awesome red color if you are searching for one! The top print is from an Etsy shop and the bottom one I just created because I love that song. The flexible flyer is from a local second hand shop and the lanterns I’ve had forever.

The tree is the one from our VA home that I just added some frosted globe lights to.

The plaid pillow is from some 18X18 napkins from TJ Maxx -- they were in  a 4 pack for $5.99, you can’t beat that! You can sew them up or use the iron method here.

A tray on the table near the door with the bob’s soft mints and a red lantern stuffed with battery operated lights.

This runner was also from TJ Maxx and I cut off the other side and want to make a pillow out of it, maybe you’ll see it next year if I ever get around to it?

And the Pottery barn knockoff wreath from last year with some battery operated lights:

The fresh cedar garland is from Black Friday at Home Depot (it’s always been $5, but this year it went up to $6.99 for 25 ft) -- we were even in Arizona for Thanksgiving this year and I picked some up. Our van smelled so good the whole way home. :)
