February Crafts

Valentine's is one of those holidays that I've never really had decorations for.  I've been watching a few of these fun little crafting blogs and decided to actually get busy this month and make some stuff.
  Here are my creations:
These are our glass marble X's and O's
Subway art is becoming really popular and I found this really cute 11x14 printable.
I also found this cute ABC Valentine printable and made this "i love u".
These are come other little pictures I made and they're just made from Valentine picks that are cut in half and glued to scrapbook paper.
Here are some of the pick hearts that I just threw in a vase with some fake roses.
I also found these cute little mailboxes in the dollar isle at Target.
Each day we left little notes for each other and raised the flag when there was something inside.  The kids really had fun with this new tradition!
My favorite projects were these felt topiaries.
The felt hearts turned out really cute too.
One of the blogs had a really cute little BINGO set that I printed off and laminated and then we just used some heart Gobstoppers as markers.
What Valentine's holiday would be complete without a Valentine's box?
 This one is Bridger's.
The schools don't really do fun boxes anymore but we were lucky that Bridger was invited to a party and asked to bring a creative box.
He thought up the idea for the train all by himself and it was my job to get it done.  (I think we'll save this for a couple years to come so I don't have to make one again.)  :)
Here are the kids' Valentines they handed out this year and they were really easy because I had a "Free 100 Photos" at Costco so all I paid for were the Dum Dums!
We made these little "Love Juice" water bottles for the boys' preschool classes.
They came with red drink mix which was the "Love Juice".  :)
Abi made these heart crayons for her friends at school.
The kids also made some for their friends at church.
That was it for our valentines craft but here are some other fun things we made this month:
11x14 framed calendars that we use with the dry erase markers and they are conveniently located in the laundry room so we can have a schedule!
I found these cute printables for our laundry room and guest bathroom.
These 11x14 printables are the ABC and Numbers and I have them hanging in the boys' bedroom.
I printed out a laminated these daily tags for each of the kids so I can plan out their outfits for the week and not be so rushed every morning.  (They have been awesome!)
Abi's headband were getting out of control so we came up with a solution for that by recycling some oatmeal cans and covering them with scrapbook paper and ribbon.  They can also store stretchy headbands inside.
If you're a "friend" on Facebook you'll recognize this little craft that I made as a give-away - the Gospel ABC's Reverence Book.
The kids love looking at this while we're at church.
I just had Costco print out these 4x6 photos.
I then bought a little photo book and decorated it with some ribbon.
With Matt travelling so much, it's been nice to have some things to pass my time!

Cute! I really like the pipe cleaner steam with the hearts on the train.

Hi,

Could you possibly provide some instruction for the train valentine box? So cute but I am not very crafty.

Thanks, Melissa
