Homemade Crock-Pot Applesauce Recipe
I made some homemade applesauce in my Crock-Pot today so I thought I’d share the recipe with you. It is simple to make and tastes delicious!
Homemade Crock-Pot Applesauce
*makes 32 ounces
Ingredients:
- 8 – 10 tart apples (I had a bag of 9 small Granny Smith Apples, so I used those)
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
Peel, core and dice the apples. Place them into your Crock-Pot and pour in 1/2 cup of water. Add in the sugar and ground cinnamon. Set the Crock-Pot on Low and cook for 5 hours, stirring occasionally. Turn off and let cool before transferring to containers for storage.
Enjoy!!
*Tip: Applesauce can also be used in many cake and dessert recipes to reduce the fat and calories by replacing the oil or butter.
