Geometry Scarf

Finished measurements: 60” long by 6 ½” wide

Materials:

2 skeins of Cascade Yarns Eco Duo
(sample shown in ‘Zebra’)
US size 9 knitting needles
tapestry needle

Gauge: 4 stitches per 1” in garter stitch

Abbreviations:

kfb – knit in the front and back
skp – slip one, knit one, pass slipped stitch over knit stitch

Begin:

Cast on one stitch.
Row 1: kfb Row 2: kfb, knit Repeat
Row 2 until you have 44 stitches. Turn, begin mitered section.

Mitered Section:

Row 1: kfb, skp, turn.
Row 2: knit
Row 3: kfb, k1, skp, turn.
Row 4: knit
Row 5: kfb, knit to one stitch before the gap, skp, turn.
Row 6: knit
Repeat Rows 5 & 6 until you’ve skp’d the last two stitches, ending on an even numbered row.
Turn, repeat mitered section beginning with Row 1. Repeat the mitered section five more times, or until you’re approximately 9” short of desired length.

Decreasing:

Row 1: skp, knit to end.

Row 2: skp, knit to end.

Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until on stitch remains. Bind off stitch. Weave in ends with a tapestry needle.
