tea cup pin cushions

i always love a nice cup of tea, especially if it is in a pretty china cup and saucer. again, on one of my op shop outings, i picked up these gorgeous tea cups.

these two sets have gone straight to the shelf just waiting to be filled with tea, but for the others, i have different plans.

i came across this tutorial the other day using tea cups in a new way…pin cushions! i have been needing a pin cushion for quite a while, so i thought i should make myself one. so, here it is.

as well as using the fabric on top, i sewed in a doily…i just can’t go past using doilies!
