Tees to Totes!

While rooting through her clothes, Maggie found a couple of old tee-shirts that (after having two kids) didn’t fit anymore. Not ready to part with them, we decided to give them a new life as tote bags!

First, turn your tee shirt inside out. Then fold the neck over and pin it. Next, cut the excess material off of the sleeves, fold, and pin. Then fold the bottom over itself and pin it into place.

Finally, sew along your pinned edges using a zig-zag setting on your sewing machine (although you could sew the seams by hand if you prefer). Then turn your new bag inside out and enjoy!

We think these would make great bags to throw snacks in and take to the park, although one of Maggie’s son has claimed them for holding his “treasures”…
